Current Developers

Todd Deshane:

A Computer Science PhD student at Clarkson University. Todd is focusing on the virtual aspects of the project; in particular he works with Xen.

Wenjin Hu:

A Computer Science graduate student at Clarkson University. Wenjin is focusing on the virtual private file server. More so, he's looking into the log-structure file system (LFS).

Dr. Jeanna Matthews:

A Computer Science professor at Clarkson University. Jeanna's role is the advisor for the project. She founded the project.

Stephen Evanchik:

Now with the Internet Technologies Group at IBM in Cambridge, MA. Steve's masters thesis, Hypervisor Enforced Application Accountability, put forward an categorization of attacks and a preliminary contract system.

Jason Herne:

Now a software engineer in the Systems and Technology Group at IBM Endicott. Jason developed the initial virtual private file server, based on a version of NFS he modified.

Patty Jablonski:

An Engineering Science PhD student at Clarkson University. Patty prototyped read and write rate-limiting using Samba and its vfs_full_audit module.

Leslie Cherian:

A Clarkson University Computer Science graduate student. Leslie ran benchmarking scripts to analyze the performance system; in particular IOZone, and FreeBench.

Mike McCabe:

An embedded software engineer at Goodrich, located in Vergennes, Vermont. Mike contributed as a Xen guru.

Josh Fiske:

A Clarkson almunus and network security engineer for the Office of Information Technology at Clarkson University. Josh was the AFS guru, and set up the AFS server and client appliances.

Sailaja Yagnavajhala:

A Clarkson University graduate in Computer Science. Sailaja investigated snort rules to be used for the network intrusion detection system (NIDS).

Gary Hamilton:

Currently a Computer Science graduate student at Clarkson University. Gary worked to setup the prototype in VMware and helped with snort rules.

Chad Homan:

A Computer Science Masters graduate from Clarkson University. Chad investigated winstone bechmark to measure overall performance of the system.
